I made the TOC through adobe photoshop, like the rest of the magazine. First, I wrote the title at the top. Then I wrote down the articles, and the page numbers, and spent some time lining them up. Lastly, I dragged the photo of her on top, and brought the layer all the way to the bottom and set the opacity lower, so it was very foggy and transparent.
I took the photo by first getting her ready, with a different saddle then the double page spread, to add variety. I tied her up to the fence, underneath where I was going to take the photo so the rope is not as visible. I then held up a piece of hay, to grab her attention and bring her ears forward. I then took about 5 of these photos, and this was the best out of them.
My goals were met, she looks very presentable, and eye catching, and I am happy with how the background turned out.
