Double Page Spread: 1st Draft

I made two options for my double page spreads. Same text, just different layout and different photos for the first page. These were the 2 options:

I am leaning towards the first one more, since it gives more of a descriptive before and after, compared to the second one. The layout is also better on the first one. They are both made with photoshop.

Most animal double page spreads, have a full page picture on one page. However, I did small articles on the first one, and smaller pictures. In order to fit more information, I didn't use a large one page photo. I split the sections depending on the topic.
