Audience Profile Analysis

Updated: Jan 9, 2023

Audience is the targeted group of people for every magazine. Every magazine has a target group that is handpicked, to add details to any magazine. So that the magazine gets the maximum potential of reads. These are two magazines I picked and analyzed:

Demographics:

Age: This cover would attract readers 20-25

Gender: This cover would most likely attract females over males, due to the softer colors and more feminine fonts.

Profession: Maybe people who work with animals, or work in an environment with a lot of animals.

Ethnicity: I think maybe caucasian females would like this magazine, based on the colors, and vibe that the cover gives off.

Education: I think it would target college girls.

Psychographics: Lifestyle: Mainly people who own dogs, or have a more relaxed lifestyle. Also probably people who eat healthier, since it gives healthy food tips on the side.

Activities: People who work with animals, or people who have a soft spot for animals. Since a person who doesn't like animals wouldn’t pick this magazine up.

Personality: Maybe a more soft spoken, kind person. Since people who own dogs are usually kinder in general.

Values: People who value animals greatly, and the well being of their health. Due to the health food tips, and many tips on how to help your dog live a happy life.

Demographics:

Age: This cover would attract readers 30-35 Gender: This cover would most likely attract females and males, due to the neutral color palette, and no targeting colors.

Ethnicity: Probably all ethnicities would like this magazine, since the animal in the photo is very elegant, and can attract a wide variety of people.

Education: I think that people who graduated college would like this magazine. It seems to not have a lot of filler text, and mainly focuses on the elegant panther.

Profession: Maybe people who work with animals, or work in an environment with a lot of animals.

Psychographics:

Lifestyle: Mainly people who read a magazine occasionally, and also like animals. So this is a good choice for them to pick up occasionally.

Activities: People who enjoy being outdoors, and seeing nature and what animals live in our world.

Personality: Maybe a more soft spoken, kind person. Since people who like animals are usually not hot headed.

Values: People who value animals greatly, and the beauty of them.

I will use my research and analysis from part 1, to create a target audience for my personal magazine later on. I will focus on the demographics and psychographics, to add details to my magazine, that will attract certain groups or types of people to read my magazine. This is what I think the audience criteria would be for my magazine:

Demographics:

Age, Social Class, Education, Gender

Psychographics:

Interests, Quotes, How many pets they own

In conclusion, this is what I think would be the target audience for my magazine. It is not accurate, but it is a general idea, or thought of what the target audience would like, or look like.
